CAD Design

Mercedes CAD model drawing which is being used to design a change table for a client. Our Design Engineer is able to mark out the location of the change table after having worked out the desired measurements, and where to mount to the floor with ease of manufacturing in mind.

Key Modification:

To address a clients difficulty with using the key to start their new vehicle, we developed a clip-on bracket featuring integrated wings. These wings enhance user grip and make the starting process easier.

Custom-designed overhead clips:

Allowing space for a wheelchair passenger. We modified the vehicle by cutting the overhead parcel tray allowing this customer the ability to sit up front as a passenger.

Anti rotation device:

This 3D printed anti rotation device. Designed specifically for docking stations. It securely fixes the person in the wheelchair in place, ensuring there is no unwanted movement or shake while the vehicle is in motion.

Examples of 3D printing we have done.

Example layout drawing for a customer’s Mercedes Sprinter

We provide customers with a visual representation of their vehicle customisation by creating detailed layout drawings. These illustrations showcase the internal space and dimensions before the build begins, offering both parties a clear understanding of the design and its feasibility.

This project involves a single vehicle platform that can be tailored with three distinct layout options. It features quick-release seats that can be easily removed to accommodate two wheelchair positions, ensuring flexibility and convenience in the final design.

Manual Fold Out Side-Step with Handholds

We are developing a prototype side-step with twin fold-out grab handles. This design provides access to the vehicle’s side door through a twin fold-out step, supported by two handles to assist occupants as they enter.

The handrails are equipped with gas struts, making it easier for users to lower and stow the step, which can be neatly folded away for transport.

Vehicle Key Modifications

To support clients with dexterity challenges, we offer custom-made external shells for their keys.

These shells provide a better grip, making it easier for clients to handle and use their keys, and enable individuals who might otherwise struggle to start their vehicle to do so independently.

Each shell is custom designed to fit individual keys and tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.

Hand Control Auxiliary Switches

Above we have designed an auxiliary switch holder. The above design is made in house and can be customized to give our clients the controls they require at the tip of their fingers.

This auxiliary control unit attaches near the end of the hand control bar our clients use making it simple and convenient to operate.
